US Military 4-PC Weather Resistant Modular Sleep System with Waterproof Gore-Tex Cover
I saved the best for last, but it is also the most expensive I’m going to list here. This one in my opinion is the best because it has the most flexibility and with the Gore-Tex cover you actually don’t need to sleep in a tent. It will keep you warm and dry even in the rain (yes I unfortunately have tested that).
The Modular Sleeping System is constructed to insulate the user in environments ranging from mild weather to extremely cold weather, so whether you’re camping or just need something warm for your next trip this will be perfect. It includes 4 items, a green patrol bag, the black cold weather bag, a woodland camo bivy cover and a stuff sack which can be used independently or together in colder environments.
The green patrol bag is rated at 30 degrees, so it really only is of value by itself if you are in warmer environments. The black intermediate bag with the bivy cover is good to -10 so that will cover you in most cases. But if you are going snow camping or just like it really warm you put the green bag inside the black bag, inside the bivy cover and you are good to -50. That is why it is a modular sleep system. Set it up the way you want it.
The Modular Sleep System comes at a cost of around $320
